HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY BATTERY CHECKED?
At least twice a year. At summer and winter. If you come to Doug's Pro Lube we will check it every time we service your car at not additional charge and will give you a print out of the results if you wish. We sell batteries for all types uses. Vehicles, motorcycles, lawnmowers, etc.

WHAT IS A CABIN AIR FILTER AND WHY SHOULD I CHANGE IT?
Most people don't relalize that some vehicles have a cabin air filter separate from the air filter under the hood, that filters the air inside the car. If you have an odor in the car OR someone in the family has allergies, you might want to check and see if you have a cabin air filter that can be changed. They are reasonably priced and we can change them right there in the shop.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN ITS TIME FOR A TRANSMISSION FLUSH?
Original equipment manufacturers (OEM) recommend every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. We recommend every 60,000 miles and up OR when the fluid turns brown or black or has a metallic odor. We check this every time a vehicle comes in for an oil change if they have a transmission indicator. We can flush your transmission for you.

MY DEALER SAYS THEY HAVE TO CHANGE MY OIL OR MY WARRANTY IS VOIDED..........
As long as you use an oil that meets the manufacturers specifications anyone can change your oil and you not lose your warranty. That's the law...........

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED MY RADIATOR FLUSHED?
If it looks murky, dirty, or muddy it needs to be changed. Approximately every three to four years. This will keep the contaminants out of your motor. When antifreeze goes bad it turns acidic and ruins your freeze plugs, water pumps, and intake gaskets. Your antifreeze should test at least 20 to 30 degrees below zero.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN IT IS TIME TO CHANGE MY FUEL FILTER?
Every 15,000 to 20,000 miles or at least once a year. This will enhance your fuel efficiency. This is very important since the quality of fuel has decreased over the last few years.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR PICK-UP AND DELIVERY?

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I ROTATE MY TIRES?
Every other oil change or every 6,000 miles.

HOW CAN I IMPROVE MY FUEL MILEAGE?
Clean the fuel injection system every 50,000 to 60,000 miles for optimum results. Replace the fuel filter and flush the transmission. (flushing the transmission reduces the friction) Doug's Pro Lube is seeing an average of 1 1/2 to 3 miles better on miles per gallon (MPG)
